Bridgestone RE-11 Now Available@TireRack.com! So its been pretty quite on the car scene lately, but with some good news the brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 is now available at Tirerack! Now the street touring battle is going to heat up for the new season. Its going to be a very interesting year. The Potenza RE-11 is an Extreme Performance Summer tire developed for enthusiastic sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan drivers. The Potenza RE-11 is designed to combine traction, handling and driving control with good noise and ride comfort. The Potenza RE-11 is tuned for dry and wet conditions, but like all summer tires is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. The Potenza RE-11 is the first Potenza street tire to incorporate Bridgestone’s 3D Seamless Stealth technology originally introduced in their Formula 1 and GP2 racing tires. The Potenza RE-11 features an asymmetric tread pattern that combines massive outboard independent shoulder blocks interlocked with a notched circumferential intermediate rib that provides the lateral stiffness needed to enhance steering response and increase dry cornering traction. Inboard, a continuous intermediate rib and notched shoulder rib are separated by wide, straight circumferential grooves that provide [...]

Kumho XS is finally out! Well its only a full season late, but finally Kumho brought out there STS tire. It will be not allowed into competition this year since it passed April 30/08 cutoff date. I hope reviews do come out soon for Kumho XS, but i doubt since the season just about over. Its going to be quite interesting since Bridgestone will be bringing there new RE-11 which is faster than the RE-01R. And now Kumho having the XS with claims faster the Azenis. The XS just might be slower than its rivals. Only testing will tell. HERE is specs on Kumho XS. Prices for the Kumho XS now at TIRERACK!

Street Tire Ultimate Battle! Bridgestone RE-11 vs Dunlop Direzza Sports Z1 Star Spec vs Toyo Proxes R1R vs Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 About a month ago i posted a video of Bridgestone’s RE-01R vs RE-11. This time i’ve got a really great video! The ultimate street tire battle. Its an all-star cast! RE-11, Z1 *spec, R1R’s and AD07′s! To my knowledge its a spec miata that they are all driving. So its a pretty even playing field. Enough talking, on with the video! Click HERE!

Bridgestone RE-11 First impression! The New Bridgestone RE-11 was released in Japan in January. They have seem to have a made a huge impact already. They seem to be not a 100% evolution of the RE-01R cause the tread pattern, cause the asymmetrical design(Even tho on the Bridgestone Japanese site they were comparing the 2). First impressions are saying that the sidewalls are softer, this giving a better ride comfort. But the level of grip is still retained at a very high level! Here are some more PIX!
