Nikon Newest Kid on the Block – D7000! Well here we go folks! Here comes the flock of the newest camera gear as we get closer to Photokina! Nikon drops a new camera to replace the D90? I would think maybe the D300s with a plastic body, with it's new metering system and new 39 autofocus system. I was really never a fan of the Multi-CAM 3500 DX as it was so poor in lower light situations. I could never trust it all, it would just hunt or just never allowed me to focus on a subject! Can't wait to get my hands on one of these new D7000 and test it against it's old wiser siblings! Pix and specs after the jump! Nikon D3 Updates again! With the discovery of an issue that, in rare cases, resulted in corrupted images captured with continuous shooting at 9 fps and RAW 14-bit recording option, the D3 firmware download released on April 15th 2008 was temporarily withdrawn on April 18th 2008. This new firmware download corrects that issue. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused to any customers who updated their D3 Digital SLR camera with the previous version. About this firmware update This service provides software for upgrading D3 A firmware to Ver 1.10 and B firmware to v1.11. When performing this firmware upgrade, be sure to upgrade both A and B firmware. Be aware that operation of your D3 is not guarenteed if either A or B firmware is upgraded while the other firmware is not upgraded. Windows Nikon D3 update HERE! Mac Nikon D3 update HERE!

Nikon D300 8fps with no battery grip!!!!! Well its not quite a hack, but its very cool to know that if you do have a Nikon D300 you can shoot 8fps! The only catch is that your only going to get 9 frames. Still very cool! Enjoy Nikon D300 owners!
