Red Ring to rule them all! 6 New Canon L-series Lenses! Well look at this, Canon has really started to push out there new lenses for the upcoming buying season! With 6 new L-series lenses to drool over where would you start first? 400 f2.8, 300 f2.8, 8-15 f4, 1.4x, 2x, or the strange 70-300 4.5-5.6L? This 70-300 is really throwing a wrench in the bunch. Why make this lens a L-series? For sure its not replacing the 100-400 4.5-5.6L, just doesn’t make sense to me. I think they would have been better off making a replace, rather than make an even more expensive 70-300! For sure Nikon has the strangle hold on this lens market. I really can’t wait to get a hold of the new extenders, these could really help me out in not getting a 24mm ts-e MKII. I really want to see how good the new 1.4x vs the older 1.4x. If it just reduced the amount of CA i’m sold! Last note is the new fisheye…zoom? Pretty interesting if say so, are they taking notes from Sigma? You can cover FF and crop sensor in 1 lens and everyone is happy! This could be a [...]

Canon announces new tilt-shift! 17mm F4 and 24mm F3.5 II! Well the rumors were true there was a new Canon Tilt-Shift! Not only was the 24mm f3.5 replaced with the MKII…A new 17mm f4 was announced too! The new 17mm f4 looks like it would be a great lens for some landscapes! Just look at that piece of glass! Can’t wait too see some images from the 17mm. Amstelveen, the Netherlands, 18 February, 2009: Canon today announces the launch of two new tilt and shift lenses, the Ultra-Wide angle TS-E 17mm f/4L and the TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II, an upgrade to the popular TS-E 24mm f/3.5L. Canon was the first company to offer 35mm camera users a combined tilt and shift lens, With 36 years experience in this field, Canon has now added a new unique functionality to the TS-E 17mm f/4L and TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II, allowing users to rotate the direction of the tilt and shift independently of each other.
