October 19, 2008 from angus giorgi on Vimeo. Another great 5D MKII video! As i was searching through Vimeo I came across another Canon 5D MKII video. This is much better than the cycle video as there was a bit more content. This video comes from Jolly Ol’ England! Its a 6min film that was shot around Hastings and London UK. The video was all shot on available light, again just demonstrating the low light capabilities. Six minute film shot on Canon Eos 5D Mark 2 high definition 1920 x 1440 1080P Cinematographer Alan Doyle, Editor Angus Giorgi. Music by Holly GoLightly – only being a dunce I forgot to tick the box that said encode audio. The audio version will be uploaded on Mon! This film is shot in Hastings and London UK using only natural light by the cinematographer Alan Doyle who I edit for. It demonstrates the Canon EOS 5D Mark 2′s filmic and low lighting levels compared to the Nikon D90. It also points the way to Canon and this camera becoming a serious headache for both Nikon and the Red Camera. There are a variety of technical restraints – the obvious ones being the camera [...]

Drumming Band from hfortysixit on Vimeo. Run for the Cure x hfortysixit Its that time of year again. CIBC’s run for the cure. As this my first time ever going to the event i was surprised how many people come to support a great cause. As everyone is wearing pink to show their support, many people in custom t-shirts showing who and what charities they are running for. As this is the first video of two. This band was playing at the start area of the race. Shot on a Nikon D90. Enjoy! The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs. Each year, thousands of Canadians of all ages and walks of life unite to participate in the Run. The reasons for participating vary, but we all have the same goal in mind: to create a future without breast cancer.

A Night with Nikon D90 Well i had a chance tonight to try a brand new Nikon D90. I really wanted to try out the video function. I can say the Nikon D90 feels pretty good to handle. Its a great size. Live view mode is really easy to get into and recording video is a snap. There is a few things i have noticed so far. Shooting in higher ISO makes the video jumpy. Its not a smooth as if i was shooting in lower ISO ie. 100 or 200. Noise it a bit of issue. Its not terrible but its not great. Seems like any changes you make to shutter or aperture don’t seem to make a difference. But again i’ve only had about max 2hrs with the camera. Maybe i am just missing something in the settings. I’ll have more time over the next few days to play with it more. Also, I really wish i had a chance to try it during the day. Maybe this weekend. But for now enjoy my short video clip. D90 Test from hfortysixit on Vimeo.

hfortysixit x Vincent Laforet – Remix from hfortysixit on Vimeo. hfortysixit x Vincent Laforet – Remix Well as everyone knows now the video capabilities out the New Canon 5D MKII are incredible. I really do think this is going to change the video industry. I just hope Canon does use this technology in there up coming video cam. Maybe at NAB they are going to show up with new goodies. Anyhoo, the Raw footage that was shot with the Canon 5D MKII was released on the Canon USA website. Since i really wanted to know how good the video was i decide to do a little remix of REVERIE(shot and directed by Vincent Laforet). I hope you enjoy my remix! If you want to see the orginal REVERIE video click HERE!
