Firmware Released!!! Looky here folks looks like Canon has released the newest firmware for the Canon 5D MKII! The 24p that we have been looking for is not to be found at all! All that was included was supports the WFT-E4 II pretty much! Aww! I guess we are going to have to wait longer i guess! Firmware Version 1.2.4 incorporates the following improvements and fixes. 1. Supports the WFT-E4 II wireless file transmitter that was released in December 2009. 2. Corrects a phenomenon in which visible noise may appear in images taken by continuous Bulb shooting. Firmware Version 1.2.4 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.1.0. If the camera’s firmware is already version 1.2.4, it is not necessary to update the firmware. The word on the street that there is problem with Canon’s 7D where it will show during burst mode it will show the preceding frame. I have not seen this myself when shooting with the 7D, but i have not done alot of shooting with this camera. Phenomenon In images captured by continuous shooting, and under certain conditions, barely noticeable traces of the immediately preceding frame may be visible. This phenomenon is not noticeable in an image with optimal exposure. The phenomenon may become more noticeable if a retouching process such as level compensation is applied to emphasize the image.
