Race City has been around forever, it was built in the 80's and looks like its from the 80's! Don't get me wrong Race City is great i love it, but really does need repairs. Rumors are that Race City will be gone after the 2011 race season. This is pretty sad, as soon Race City is gone all is left is Mission Raceway in British Columbia. I do hope that there is something in the works to keep it or replace it. Well i really lucky to have a chance to be at the Edmonton Indy! I was pitting for a good friend during one of the supporting races. The GT Race had to be one of the most popular races during the weekend. With a 58 car field with cars ranging from Nascar to Vintage and everything in between it was a great race! At the quailifying for the Indy cars i had a good chance to take pix in the pits! Woot! I love the gold on the engines and how incredibly light the wheels were(rear tire setup 26lbs!). Calgary, AB Aug 9/10 2008! Once again there was a good old GT racing@Race City! I haven’t been to a GT race in 1 yr! It was great to be back! Seems like there was so many more cars this year.
