Another pre 1D MKIV video Dan Chung borrowed a pre 1D MKIV from Canon Singapore. Dan took the MKIV to horse races, shot the video in 720p 60fps and used Final Cut Pro to edit. From the 60fps down to 24fps using cinema tools and no ungraded was use. This video looks great! Can’t wait for this camera too arrive! Video after the jump! Canon 1DmkIV at the races – test shoot from Dan Chung on Vimeo.

Canon 7D Double Trouble??? The word on the street that there is problem with Canon’s 7D where it will show during burst mode it will show the preceding frame. I have not seen this myself when shooting with the 7D, but i have not done alot of shooting with this camera. Phenomenon In images captured by continuous shooting, and under certain conditions, barely noticeable traces of the immediately preceding frame may be visible. This phenomenon is not noticeable in an image with optimal exposure. The phenomenon may become more noticeable if a retouching process such as level compensation is applied to emphasize the image. New Canon VIXIA HV40 Camcorder! Canon announced the upgrade to there HV30 that should be showing at CES. Now with a few new function should be a good upgrade to the HV30. Canon VIXIA HV40 HDV Camcorder The Canon VIXIA HV40 HDV Camcorder, a replacement to the highly acclaimed VIXIA HV30 camcorder, shares the core components found within the VIXIA line, but also offers a Genuine Canon 10x HD Video Lens and 2.96 Megapixel Full HD CMOS Image Sensor. What’s more, the camcorder allows consumers to record in native 24p Mode, a feature previously found only on Canon’s professional camcorders. Native 24p allows consumer to capture and record 24 progressive frames per second to a HDV tape, a big advantage for the serious filmmaker.
