Canon 5D MKII 1.2.4. Firmware Released!!! Looky here folks looks like Canon has released the newest firmware for the Canon 5D MKII! The 24p that we have been looking for is not to be found at all! All that was included was supports the WFT-E4 II pretty much! Aww! I guess we are going to have to wait longer i guess! Firmware Version 1.2.4 incorporates the following improvements and fixes. 1. Supports the WFT-E4 II wireless file transmitter that was released in December 2009. 2. Corrects a phenomenon in which visible noise may appear in images taken by continuous Bulb shooting. Firmware Version 1.2.4 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.1.0. If the camera’s firmware is already version 1.2.4, it is not necessary to update the firmware. In addition, after the firmware is updated, if the WFT-E4 or WFT-E4 II wireless file transmitter is used with the camera, the indications that appear under [Communication mode] on the [WFT settings] menu are changed as follows: * FTP -> FTP trans * PTP(PC) -> EOSUtility * HTTP -> WFTserver * HTTP account -> WFT account If you are setting the WFT-E2 II by using a computer, please download and use [...]

New video from Canon 5D MKII! Well more new video from a pre-production Canon 5D MKII has surfaced. Again showing its amazing video capabilities to shoot in low light. This the time video comes to us from Germany. The first video back flip is just a bmx cyclist riding around a park. Nothing too special other showing how good low light performance is(But we all know good the MKII is at low light). The 2nd video is of the same cyclist riding around at night in Germany. I’m not too sure how much time they had with the camera, but there is lots of repetitive footage in both videos. I would think if you have time with the camera you would maximize your time with the MKII and shoot a wide variety of scenario’s. But that just me. Here is the link to BACKFLIP and NACHFAHRER. Vincent Laforet’s REVERIEis back up and can be viewed again! hfortysixit!
