Canon 1D MKIV Review @Dpreview Here we go! Dpreview has done there indepth review of Canon’s lastest flagship camera. A 33 page review of the camera goes over every corner of the camera, and its actually a little lengthy at times. What’s nice to see in Dpreview reviews are side by side comparsion’s to other cameras like: Nikon D3s, MKIII, and 7D! But i do wish they would have compared the D3 to MKIV aswell. Well enough of me, on to the review. Link after the jump! Source:[Dpreview] Depth of field difference aside (only really pertinent in the paperclip crop), much of the difference between the two cameras seen in the JPEG comparisons has disappeared. Despite the resolution differences, the level of detail being captured doesn’t appear to be radically different. However, if you look at the very highest frequency detail in the sixth crop with the colored balls, the 1D IV is out-pacing the Nikon. *Click the image above to full review @Dpreview*

Canon 1D MK4 vs Nikon D3s ISO Performance! Well here we go folks, NeutralDay Community has direct comparison between 2 flag ship cameras from the 2 major companies, Canon 1D MK4 vs Nikon D3s! From the pictures you can see that the Nikon is just a better performer in the low light. Nikon has perfected the 12MP range. Seems like the MK4 is pretty noisy from the images that were posted vs D3s, but the 5D MK2 files are better looking than the MK4? This is first comparison i’ve seen so far, i’m sure more are to come! Pix and direct link after the jump! Another pre 1D MKIV video Dan Chung borrowed a pre 1D MKIV from Canon Singapore. Dan took the MKIV to horse races, shot the video in 720p 60fps and used Final Cut Pro to edit. From the 60fps down to 24fps using cinema tools and no ungraded was use. This video looks great! Can’t wait for this camera too arrive! Video after the jump! Canon 1D MKIV New ISO performance images by Jeff Ascough Jeff Ascough is UK based photographer that is known for not using flash for any of his shoots. Looks like he’s been using 1-series bodies for quite awhile and really familiar with them. Looks like Jeff has the camera 24hrs before his shoots and didn’t have alot of time setting up the camera, but its not much different from his 1DsMKIII. Shots from the Canon 1DMKIV they are stunning in low light! Autofocus performance is stunning. There is no other word for it. Canon have spent a lot of time and energy on this aspect of the camera and it shows. I was shooting in horrific lighting for AF systems, and it just performed faultlessly. I used the center point and the back button for focusing as this is what I have become use to over the past 12 months with the 5DMKII, and like I said it was faultless. I didn’t try AI servo mode (as I always use One shot) or any of the other AF options (some of which have been borrowed from the 7D). Source:[Jeff Ascough/Canonrumors] Pictures after the jump! Canon 1D MKIV Power Hungry Camera? I’m not too sure how many Canon shooters out there have read the 1D MKIV white pages, but seems like the new 1D MKIV could be power hungry. If you look at the CIPA standards for previous 1D: MKIII: 2200 MKIIn: 1200 MKIV….after the jump! MKIV: 1500!!! What is going on here Canon! This is taken from Canon White pages on Page 119.
