Canon 5D MKII 1.2.4. Firmware Released!!!
Looky here folks looks like Canon has released the newest firmware for the Canon 5D MKII! The 24p that we have been looking for is not to be found at all! All that was included was supports the WFT-E4 II pretty much! Aww! I guess we are going to have to wait longer i guess!
Firmware Version 1.2.4 incorporates the following improvements and fixes.
1. Supports the WFT-E4 II wireless file transmitter that was released in December 2009.
2. Corrects a phenomenon in which visible noise may appear in images taken by continuous Bulb shooting.
Firmware Version 1.2.4 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.1.0. If the camera’s firmware is already version 1.2.4, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
In addition, after the firmware is updated, if the WFT-E4 or WFT-E4 II wireless file transmitter is used with the camera, the indications that appear under [Communication mode] on the [WFT settings] menu are changed as follows:
* FTP -> FTP trans
* PTP(PC) -> EOSUtility
* HTTP -> WFTserver
* HTTP account -> WFT account
If you are setting the WFT-E2 II by using a computer, please download and use the dedicated WFT Utility application.
